For Stanford Magazine's Summer 2026 profile of zoo geneticist Kate Rodriguez-Clark—a real-life "matchmaker" who engineers breeding plans to keep endangered species genetically healthy—I created a set of three species profiles that turn population science into something warm and characterful.

Each illustration spotlights one of the animals at the heart of the story: the golden lion tamarin, the Peruvian firestick, and the red siskin. Rather than treating them as clinical specimens, I rendered each as a candidate with a personality, pairing precise, field-guide-inspired detail with the playful "dating profile" logic of the article—highlighting each creature's breeding considerations alongside its quirks and charm.
